Known limitations
A clear view of what the Apple-device MVP does, and what still depends on local device permissions.
Apple devices are supported
The current MVP supports iPhone, iPad and macOS. Android and Windows setup flows remain outside the public beta.
Automation permissions are required
iPhone and iPad use Apple Shortcuts. MacBook uses a local updater and macOS automation permissions.
Daily automation is user-controlled
You choose the daily schedule. iOS may ask for Shortcuts permission, while macOS may ask for access to change the desktop picture.
Updates follow your local time
The wallpaper endpoint uses the timezone saved in your dashboard. Check that timezone if the day changes at the wrong time.
Wallpaper behavior varies by device
iPhone and iPad can update both wallpaper surfaces. MacBook updates the desktop background across the active desktop spaces.
